CC4 - Rebirth Music made for a monthly composition challenge. It is supposed to be a theme for the movie Captain Marvel.
I thought of the story and started to compose it before seeing the movie (and without having read or seen any comics / MCU). It is inspired from the trailer and what I imagined from it, so it might not fit that well to the movie's story.
Here's the 4 parts of the music :
1st part : Captain Marvel's awakening. She looks dead after her accident but somehow, she awakes.
2nd part : She discovers her powers and tries to master them. She's kind of euphoric.
3rd part : Captain starts to wonder if she's still herself. She's having an identity crisis with herself, and tries to find her role, while a threath's coming towards her.
4th part : Captain gains confidence and realizes she has the greatest powers. She's now able to beat her enemy and is ready to do what she's meant to do : save the world. | 2 minutes, 42 seconds | |
CC2 - Nostalgia Music made for a composition challenge. I had to make a music inspired by this picture.
What it inspired me was a man that comes back to his home after a very long trip. The beginning of the music is the end of this trip, and is followed by a feeling of nostalgia, represented by the second part.
I know this composition is far from being perfect, in every aspect but the time was limited, and it is my very first composition.

CC3 - Homeless This music was made for a monthly composition challenge (so I'll post my participation for the following months too)
I had to make a music inspired by this image (like the CC2). We also had constraints on the music itself : one instrument on each side, and one in the center playing a leitmotiv. The aim was to have a quite simple composition in order to focus more on the mix (which I tried to do, but not very successfully). Also, the length was limited to 32 bars.
Anyway, let's talk about what I had in mind with that picture. Althought most of the participants composed something about the two characters in the center, I focused more on the right side and the background. It looked like the place was abandoned after a combat and that people were now living there. I felt like the life here was kind of monotonous, that the inhabitants were just trying to survive out there. I don't know if i'm clear enough, but just keep in mind it's more about the setting than the love between the characters.
